Our consultants are from the teaching, social work and care professions. Our philosophy is that of caring equally for the needs of service users who are exhibiting challenging behaviour and for the safety of carers and staff who are providing their education or care.

Underpinning any approach to their care has to be the the presumption that all children and adults living within a care/education setting have the right to be raised in a safe and nurturing environment and are able to attain their full potential.
Establishing stability and security in the lives of children, young people and vulnerable adults placed within our care against the above ingrained histories takes patience, dedication, hope and skilled therapeutic care giving. To maintain the child, young person or vulnerable adult in heart and mind whilst supporting their individual need is central to achieving ordinary life experiences / chances in reaching their full potential.
Our training seeks to provide an understanding of the causes of challenging behaviour, along with respectful, supportive and practical strategies for de-escalation and crisis intervention. All techniques that we teach are situated within a positive approach to behaviour management which seeks to minimise the need for physical intervention and maintain positive secure relationships.
